What pre-tax insurance premiums are supported?

Taxable wages for all taxes, with the exception of some state unemployment wages (contact your state for details), are reduced by the Pre-Tax Insurance Premium deduction amount based on the employee income tax and unemployment states.

Employee deductions can be fixed dollar or percentage amounts. The Pre-Tax Insurance Premium deductions we support include:

  • Dental - This is a pre-tax employee deduction toward an employer maintained Cafeteria or Section 125 dental insurance plan.
  • Medical - This is a pre-tax employee deduction toward an employer maintained Cafeteria or Section 125 medical insurance plan.
  • Miscellaneous - This is a pre-tax employee deduction toward an employer maintained Cafeteria or Section 125 insurance plan. Up to five (5) "Miscellaneous" pre-tax Insurance Premium deductions can be set-up in addition to the pre-labeled medical, dental and vision deductions.
  • Vision - This is a pre-tax employee deduction toward an employer maintained Cafeteria or Section 125 vision insurance plan.
