To fix a wrong check date
Once a payroll is approved, if the check date is wrong, you can cancel payroll online as long as the data has not been transmitted to the banks yet via ACH (and it’s within the same quarter/year).
From the dashboard, under current payroll, select “Cancel Payroll”. *Be sure to print/write down the payroll data for re-entry.
Read and acknowledge the cancel payroll messaging.
You should now see a Payroll Cancelled message at the top of the screen.
Re-run payroll using the correct check date.
To cancel a payroll with incorrect pay
